Hello everybody!

Sorry to have been silent for a bit but life has been busy.  Between not feeling good for a bit, allergies going into overdrive, and the holiday, I was wiped out.  Now I'm slowly getting back into my groove.   I have to try and get back on schedule with the diet and such.  My sugar levels are ok but the blood pressure is higher than it should be.  I will get it back down.  Just have to get back on track.

Easter was good.  Dan and I enjoyed the meal and it was fun watching him put pepper on everything since I was using the battery operated salt and pepper shaker/mill.  He left with leftovers and candy.  I even sent a little bag  of candy for his handyman Zak, but Dan kept most of it for him but made sure to let me know Zak did get a couple of pieces.  I know that he did because I was on the phone with Dan when Dan gave Zak the candy.  LOL.

I have been crocheted pot holders.  It is good to have extra on hand, especially since I have worn out the other one I had.  I am using leftover yarn that I found.  It is a good way to use up leftover yarn.

Today I finished my hummingbird wall hanging.  It is a little one but I like how it turned out.

I found this chart online and thought I would share it  It is handy to have the various sizes.  It appears that I mostly make baby size quilts.  That's ok.

That is about it for me to report this time. I know there was something else that I was going to report on but I guess I will have to add that next time.  LOL.  I hope everybody has a great night.

The Day After!

As you can see, or read from this post, I survived the storms.  After our SCA meeting, Shalom took me to JoAnne's and on the way home he drove past the different streets to see how they had gone down from yesterday.  Then he sent me some pix that he had taken so I thought I'd share.

Now for the fun part,.  Here is what I bought.

I got four yards of most everything just to make it easier.  LOL.  The red fleece will probably be for me to cuddle up in on chilly days.  The black fleece I might try to make a cloak for the SCA.  The discounts were between 30 - 70%.  I was surprised how much fabric they still had.  It was fun to go through things  :)

That's it for this trip.  I haven't eaten anything since 10 a.m. so it is time to make a chef salad.  I hope you all have a great night.  Stay safe!

Surviving the first week of April

I am sure that May will be a month of glorious flowers due to all the "showers" we have been having.  This is really just a quick post to say that I am safe in Arkansas.  The last week has been fun.  Every day has been, according to the weather reports,  a variety of rain intensities.  Mixed among them have been high winds and tornado watches and warnings.  Of course that also means power outages, leaks, and trying to find garbage cans or cat food bowls that blew around.  Yesterday our winds were around 90 MPH .  I am safe though.  The tornado touched down n Trumann but not on my street.  My front yard looked like a mini lake which the cats did NOT appreciate.  LOL.

I hope everybody has a great day and remember to be prepared for whatever Mother Nature throws at you.  I'll write more later once I get the ambition to work on things again.  Love ya all.

There be kittens!

Yes that is right.  Since I can't remember if I told you that I have new kittens so here are pictures of them.  They are still ski...
