The Day After!

As you can see, or read from this post, I survived the storms.  After our SCA meeting, Shalom took me to JoAnne's and on the way home he drove past the different streets to see how they had gone down from yesterday.  Then he sent me some pix that he had taken so I thought I'd share.

Now for the fun part,.  Here is what I bought.

I got four yards of most everything just to make it easier.  LOL.  The red fleece will probably be for me to cuddle up in on chilly days.  The black fleece I might try to make a cloak for the SCA.  The discounts were between 30 - 70%.  I was surprised how much fabric they still had.  It was fun to go through things  :)

That's it for this trip.  I haven't eaten anything since 10 a.m. so it is time to make a chef salad.  I hope you all have a great night.  Stay safe!

Surviving the first week of April

I am sure that May will be a month of glorious flowers due to all the "showers" we have been having.  This is really just a quick post to say that I am safe in Arkansas.  The last week has been fun.  Every day has been, according to the weather reports,  a variety of rain intensities.  Mixed among them have been high winds and tornado watches and warnings.  Of course that also means power outages, leaks, and trying to find garbage cans or cat food bowls that blew around.  Yesterday our winds were around 90 MPH .  I am safe though.  The tornado touched down n Trumann but not on my street.  My front yard looked like a mini lake which the cats did NOT appreciate.  LOL.

I hope everybody has a great day and remember to be prepared for whatever Mother Nature throws at you.  I'll write more later once I get the ambition to work on things again.  Love ya all.
