Memorial Day 2026

 Just a quick stop to wish you all a safe holiday.

I finished the tabards!

 This is just a quick post since I need to take my meds and lay down for a bit.  Just normal life but I am so happy to report that I...HAVE...FINISHED...THE....TABARDS!

SCA Tabards

   That is a total of 12 tabards hanging up.  One for Dan, one for me, and then 10 for the Shire of Ravenshold.  I posted the picture up for our group to see and one of the guys wants one for himself.  I forwarded the link to where I got the tabards from and told him which ones were bought.  Then I told him that if he bought one of the tabards I could put the rondel on it for him.  We'll see if he does that.

I'm tired

    This is going to be short.  

   I'm just tired today.  It didn't help that I did something stupid and I think my body is still reacting to it.  I was talking to Dan, no surprise there,  and I put my hand into dish water and oh my !  I shouldn't have done that.  I didn't realize that my hand went into near boiling water!  My hand wasn't in the water long but it was long enough to bring tears to my face and poor Dan.  He was trying to ask me what was wrong.  I told him nothing.  LOL.  Of course he didn't believe that.  It took me a bit to get my voice under control but that is me.  In less than 5 minutes I was composed again but boy!  Did that really hurt.  No blistering but my hand is very stiff.  That is partly why I am so tired,.  Things like that take it out of me.  That is about it.  I will write more when my hand isn't as tired.  I hope everybody has a great day,

The Start of May

    This is going to be very short but I thought you might want to see what is new at my house.

  That's right.  Her majesty had two kittens.  The top one I am calling Sly.  Sly is sneaky and he (or is Sly a female?) his full name will be Sylvester the 3rd.  The other one is called Sandi (yeah I haven't checked to see if  if it is a he or she).).   They like to play on the porch but are still very skittish.  Sandi  is VERY skittish.  Sly is the braver one and I saw him nibbing on a little bit of cat food this morning.  That is, he was trying to nibble until he tipped the cat food bowl over on top of his head.  Mom had to go over and help him escape the mean cat food dish. He swatted it before he ran off though.
