August already?

I can't believe it is August already.  Time once again marches on and , once again, I haven't done much.  The temperatures have been running up to 95F and that just doesn't inspire me to do much at all.  Most of my days have been being lazy and staying in front of the fan and/or the air conditioner.  I just wanted to stop by and say I hope everybody is going ok and to show you a new mug rug that I received.  I think it is soooo cute.

I'm sure that I will be using it a lot.

The other thing I was going to mention was that Dan took me out to eat today and also to Walmart so I could get more salsa.  Since I was thinking of Salsa, we ended up at Kandela's.  They have such yummy food.  This is what I ordered.

I would have taken a picture of the appetizer that we had but we ate it too fast.  LOL.  I have enough that I was able to take home so I will eat it tomorrow.  My sugar levels were ok tonight but I'll see how it goes tomorrow.

The only other thing that I have to report is that my  youngest great nephew, Liam, finished his...ummm.  I forgot what it is called, but you know, the first part of his journey in the Navy.  I still can't believe he is old enough to go into service to our country but am proud of him.  :)

I hope everybody has a great day and takes it easy.  Love ya all.  I'll see you next time.

Bonni,
I love the mug rug. Lunch looks yummy always good when you have leftovers for the next day.

I bet Liam is happy to be done with Boot Camp for the Navy, now on to exciting adventures!

I know what you mean about it being too hot to do anything crafty. It is finally out of the 90's here. I am all to happy for Fall to arrive. Harvest in the garden would done, the extreme temperatures would be gone. Crafting would be back in action.

Hang in there the Dog Days of Summer will be over soon.

The term mug rug was new to me, but I like yours :-)

I was told that the term was used since it is like a little rug under your cup (mug). Traditionally it is large enough to hold small treat (or large I guess) and your drink.

Bonni, the mug rug is absolutely beautiful. I can't for the hot days to be gone too.

Thanks Nikki! Mug Rugs are good little projects to have on hand and to work on in super hot weather.

CATCH-UP DAY

Notice that  said catch up and not ketchup?  Although a ketchup day sounds like it could be fun.   This will be a short post since my ba...
