Lyndon brought in my African fabric today. YAY. Since I'm at work I can't take too much time to talk about it but here are the quick pictures.

I saw this fabric and knew it would look good as my table cloth in my office. Just don't tell mom since I haven't ironed it yet. |
|
I tried to unfold it a bit to give you an idea of the pattern. I see now that it popped back up when I took the pix. LOL. |

Hope you enjoyed the photos. I'll keep you informed on what I make with them.

What fun fabrics. Are they the same texture of our fabrics, or coarser?
What beautiful fabric! I can't wait to see what you do with it.
I see the NIU banner. We're going to be up in your neck of the woods this weekend. My oldest grandson will be competing at the State swim meet to be held at the Kishwaukee YMCA.
I'll be interested in seeing how DeKalb has changed ... my sister lived for 4-5 years in DeKalb back in the early 80's and I'd spend a weekend/month visiting her ... I haven't been there since.
@ Heather - thanks Heather.
@ nana - Hey cool. I work at NIU and Kishwaukee YMCA is only around 15 minutes from there. I know where it is at. If I wasn't busy this Saturday I'd have loved
to meet up with you.
@ Mel - the colors ARE wonderful and they are a little stiffer initially but after a few washings they are fine.
What are you planning to make with these ?
