Isn't that what they always said when there was big news? This is big news. I have been helping a co-worker (Theresa) put together t-shirt blocks for her daughter Abby. Theresa doesn't sew and this is only the second quilt she has done/is working on. The first one was for her other daughter. We finished sewing all the blocks together so that Theresa was able to show Abby over the weekend. Today (April 1st) is Abby's birthday. Here is a video that they did when it was presented to Abby.
I think that Theresa did great. We still have to pick out a border fabric and sew that on plus do all the quilting. Still, it was presented to Abby and I was told this morning that Abby didn't even take it off her bed last night.
Well done Theresa.
PS: The daisy block is from a dress that Theresa liked but Abby didn't so, of course, it HAD to go in the block. Here is a picture of Theresa holding up Abby's quilt top.
