Finished the Flag

I managed to finish up the tumbler flag yesterday.  Need to get a better picture of it but that will wait until I go back to the office this week.  I can hang it up there and get a good picture.

I really liked the stars on the blue fabric for the back.

It's hard to see the quilting on this but in the blue area I just did a large star.  The red and white areas have a wiggly line which you can see a little better.  It was a quick weekend project.  I would have finished it earlier if I had been feeling better.  Now to add a couple more pictures from the International Show and head back to bed.  Once again none of the quilts shown from the International Show are mine and if somebody objects to me posting them, let me know and I'll take them down.  They were all taken from the areas of the show where photography was permitted.

Ran out of energy

Did you guess what that pile of fabric would turn out to be?  It's a tumbler flag pattern from Missouri Quilt Company.  I bought a five inch tumbler from them and saw there video on this pattern and knew I just HAD to make it, especially since I had just bought their 5" tumbler template.  It is sooo easy to use with charm packs I wonder why I didn't use it before.

My cold might prevent me from finishing it this weekend although it might also give me an excuse if it doesn't turn out how I want it to.  LOL.

Sneak Peek for Tomorrow's project

I am vertical for a little bit so I thought I'd take some time out to give you a sneak peek at what I am working on tomorrow.  That is, if I can stay awake long enough.    Can you guess what it is going to be?  In the middle of the pile is my new toy...a 5" tumbler template.  I really like it so far.  I got it from Missouri Quilt Company.

Still have cold

I still have my cold and no energy so it's a Nyquil and nap kind of day.  I did get a new 5" tumbler template from Missouri Quilt Company.  It's good on charm packs.  I will try and use it tomorrow on something.

So until then just enjoy seeing more pix from the quilt show.

started stitching on Inspired

I have started to stitch on the first of my nine blocks for Inspired by Inspired by Tradition.  I am using this wall hanging to practice my hand stitching.  I want to make my stitches smaller and closer together. This is both the front and back of the first block (not done yet obviously).

Now that you've seen my feeble attempts....have fun looking at more pix from the International Quilt Show.
